I kept hearing that Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC was "the thing" to do. I will be the first to admit, flowers are not really my thing (...unless they're from a handsome man and accompanied by chocolates...), but it is hard to escape the beauty of these gardens. 

In a nutshell, Butchart is a 55 acre garden that has been family owned for four generations. There are different themed gardens including the Sunken Garden, Italian, Zen, Rose etc. It was very crowded, but with one million visitors a year you can expect some crowds!
